Where 'ISLAM' come from?

Islam?
Muslim?
Allah?
Muhammad?
Qur'an?

Let us start with Islam.

Do you know what Islam is? ISLAM, was NOT named after any person, tribe or place. Islam is an Arabic word, which have 3 root words. Salam (peace), Aslama (submission), Salima (pure/authentic). Islam is a pure relationship between the one and only God (creator) and creations, which the creations SUBMIT themselves to the Creator in an AUTHENTIC way (way of life that the Creator wants), and reach PEACE.

Furthermore, the name 'Islam' is MENTIONED in the scripture (Qur'an) itself. The name was given by God (Himself), "This day have I perfected your Religion for you, completed My favor upon you and have chosen for you ISLAM as your religion." (Qur'an 5:3)

*Is it possible if I buy a LENOVO handphone, but its manual never mentioned 'LENOVO' in it?*

Additional information :

Christianity is named after Jesus Christ, Buddhism is named after Gautama Buddha, also known as Siddhārtha Gautama, Hinduism is named after a river and Judaism is named after a tribe. But not Islam. The name was given by God, as mentioned in Qur'an. And, it is interesting to know that other books, never mentioned the name of the religions in their texts. (Please let me know if I am wrong here)

So that is it.. Where the name of 'Islam' come from... :)
